Pierson College Tea with Weili Cheng ’77 B.A.

Weili Cheng is the executive director of the Yale Alumni Association. After earning her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Yale in 1977, Cheng earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and worked as a litigation attorney both in a private practice and for the United States Department of Justice. Afterward, she spent 22 years working for the Law Department of Marriott International, and in 2007 she became senior vice-president and deputy general counsel of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she organized the company’s global business strategies. Cheng was also the youngest and first female graduate to be the board chair of the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors from 1992-1994.
